Please, never EVER go here. A friend and I went to meet a friend for her birthday and it was one of the most miserable bar experiences I've ever had.
The party was held upstairs, where a huge glass retractable ceiling and big windows give a spectacular view. The room was one long narrow space, with a bar down the right.
However, it was incredibly packed, making it impossible to move. Drinks were very expensive, with typical 'good' beers and shots around $8 or more.
The worst by far though, is the service. At one point in the night, I headed downstairs to check out the rest of the bar. When I went to return, I was told that noone was allowed upstairs at this point. Umm... thanks for telling me that on my way out? There was no line in sight, and I had no friends downstairs.
I'm pissed, but realize that I still have my tab open upstairs, and argue this. The bouncer, realizing that I couldn't spend my precious money anymore, decided to let me upstairs, but only if I left my ID with another bouncer. FINE... I don't care.
As the bar closes, and me and my roommate have run up roughly a $150 tab between the two of us, we head out to catch the metro. When I ask for my ID back, the bouncer rudely tells me that they don't take ID's at the door - apparently not remembering me from an hour ago.
I remind him, and he asks who I gave it to. I tell him I don't know the name of the bouncer, just that he was on staff and was the tall guy. At this point he openly laughs at me and calls me an idiot for giving my ID to someone whose name I don't know.
What. The. Hell. Isn't it the bars job to get you back your ID? After that, he told me he had no idea where the other bouncer went, but that I could wander around until I found him. The fact that he was wearing a headset and chose not to use it further pissed me off.
I will never, ever return to this craphole.
