I met some friends up at Buffalo Billiards for the first time a little while ago. It's directly across the street from the Dupont Circle Metro, which makes it really easy to get to.
Overall, I was very impressed. The main area was nice and open, with a fairly attractive decor. The bartenders were friendly and quick with drinks. Definitely worth visiting.
