Wreath Making Workshop and Tour of Historic Tudor Place

12/2/2006
Discover the beautiful house and gardens built by Martha Washington's granddaughter, Martha Custis Peter in the early 1800s and take home your own fresh-from-the-grade wreath!

During our private tour of the property, we will learn about those who lived and worked at this stunning estate, as well as have the opportunity to view the stunning collections of china, furniture, ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, manuscripts and more to gain unique insight into American cultural history. The history of the house, its collections, and people who lived and worked there create an extraordinary record of life in Georgetown and the nation's capital as well as reflect major events that shaped the country.

Following our tour, we will have light refreshments and time to look around the gardens to gain inspiration for making our own holiday wreaths!

With beautiful clippings of cedar boughs, magnolia leaves, berry-laden holly, pinecones, and boxwood from the Tudor Place garden, we will learn how to make our own horticultural treasures that will be sure to wow family, friends, and neighbors in the holiday season.

This unique tour and workshop is limited in size and not to be missed, so sign up early!
